Hey everyone!
Uhhh.. It is monday morning >_< i really dont like monday morning but actually its not too bad so far i had a berrocca and im a little more awake than i would normally be :D
Just waiting for a few of my tests to run so i figured i had time to write up in this blog :)
What can i say so far... GSK is a lovely place the environment here is very nice, the people are nice, and so is the facilities. There is so much open space! I really do not want to work anywhere else now knowing that an industry like this exists hehe. I cant really say much about the work i am doing here at GSK because it must all remain disclosed but what i can say is that i am VERY VERY VERY busy all the time running multiple machines and tests and weighing and making up solutions all at the same time! haha lucky i write everything that i had to do down or else there would be no way i could remember everything. I have learnt alot so far and i really hope to learn alot more while i am here on placements, we are only given 4 weeks here which is not too long but somehow after 2 weeks i cannot see the end hahahah >_<. The first two weeks flew by so quick since i was so busy and it was great, except for the first 2 days though.. reading all the protocols and safety and SOPs and this and that and and and and .. very boring :( I am a little bit worried about going back to uni however, since i got to catch up and study and all but its not just that, its the option of going to class or not that worries me. At work you must go 9-5 everyday so no matter what you must get up, but with uni its not all compulsory so.. i usually wake up and turn off my alarm and go back to being a bum haha. Career wise, id love to work at GSK but honestly i really cant see myself in the lab for the rest of my life, i got an email from monash asking me to do a master of business of science and technology and it interested me. Was thinking of doing that but im not too sure yet, what would be awesome would be to work at GSK but be in the office :D i would love that! now how do you get that job? hahah well no idea uhhh i am a little bit of a lazy person i must say.. wish i won the lotto and just retire now LOLLL
Uhhh you can dream but owell.. work is work and play is play... i guese if it was all play and no work it would also be bad since you dont appreciate the time you have to do nothing.
I do miss blogging. Really shouldnt have stopped with my xanga blog.
Owell it was great writing this! It was most likely a long rant about nothing but it made me feel better and a great start to mondays!
Signing out....

Hi Jonathan
ReplyDeletesouns like GSK is working well in helping you think about your career direction - maybe you could ask the people there about the Masters/
best wishes
